I can’t believe how busy I’ve been! Like Woah, haven’t been on here since January? Between student teaching in DC art education, graduating from BYU and moving to New York, I guess you could say I’ve been pretty caught up in everything. BUT, I’m finally settled here in Brooklyn and it’s time for me to put my pencil to the paper, or in this case, my stylus to the tablet.
I blogged a while ago about how I had dreams to go into licensing work with my illustrations. That’s still something that I want to focus on, so I’m starting to put everything that I can together.

I’ve decided to take some elements from these pieces and to do a number of things, mostly, I’m writing a children’s book script (:O) and I’m using them as inspiration for one of my first textile lines. This is what I have so far:
I’ll keep you updated, but I’m super excited and I’m planning to have a small portfolio ready for the PrintSource convention in August. It’s soon, but I’m feeling ready. Wish me luck!
